Mélange Co-Works Studio & Gallery is a co-working studio space designed for aspiring and established creatives in Winnipeg. Developed as a project for the University of Manitoba's Environmental Design program, the studio serves as a collaborative hub where artists can create, connect, and share ideas. The gallery space is dedicated to showcasing the works of the resident artists, providing them with a platform to display their art and create engagement with the local community.
Site Analysis
The site analysis highlights the creative potential of the area by examining its surrounding environment, demographics, and local amenities. It reveals that Downtown Winnipeg is thriving with creativity, and positioning the site as a central hub for creatives could further enhance this dynamic atmosphere.
To convey the studio's essence, The analysis was printed and transferred onto watercolor paper using an image transfer technique. This technique also ultimately inspired the interior's design.
